Chess

I started playing chess in third grade when I saw classmates bringing chessboards to class. The early moves felt strange but exciting, and each piece seemed like a small puzzle that made me curious.

But it was my grandfather who truly brought me into this game. He taught me every move. His bold sacrifices and sharp attacks made me fascinated and motivated. From the games we played next to a pot of tea, I learned how to think, be patient and not give up easily.

Over time, I joined different tournaments: school events, city and provincial Hội khỏe Phù Đổng competitions and many others. Chess fits me because it is visual and repetitive but still requires new ideas. Each match teaches me about strategy, managing risk, making decisions under pressure and learning to accept failure. Winning or losing is not only about the result. It is also a chance to understand myself, improve my skills and grow.

It's me at the competitions when I was younger.
