Photography

Photography opened a new way for me to observe, where light and angles tell the story behind each moment. The old camera my teacher gave me was what started my journey of learning to ‘see with light’: adjusting ISO, shutter speed and aperture, trying out compositions and lighting so that each photo shows the feeling and message I want to express. Through ISO, I learned to pay attention to my surroundings, increasing sensitivity in low light to catch details and lowering it in bright light to keep colors accurate.

At APhO 2025, I was the only one who brought a camera, capturing both the intense practice moments and the relaxed ones and learning to observe more carefully. At IPhO 2025, several teammates also brought their cameras. We tried different angles and lighting together and shared our ways of observing, which turned the competition into a creative and bonding experience. Photography to me is not just technique. It is a way to inspire, connect with teammates and keep meaningful memories.
